However this tree is one of the largest and is estimated to be at least 1000 years in age. Truly impressive. Particularly old Oustanding size Outstanding eample of secies Located about 300 m from the Willis Tree site, this large single trunked tree occurs in a group with two others, one with a spiral trunk. The tree is the largest recorded. It appears the Willis Tree is no longer extant, however, two others occur in the vicinity but are smaller and less impressive than the measured tree, which is significant for its considerable size and outstanding form.
